Community Newspapers – Hear Them Roar

I submitted a grant application for the Knight Foundation’s News Challenge. My product, called Yore Town, is ideally suited for community newspapers. In fact, its beta site is a 17,000 circulation daily in Yuma AZ, the Daily Sun. Yore Town is about oral history and about community contributions.  Here’s the full application, with attached documents that explain the marketing and the features.  I’ll hear by November 15th if I’m invited to submit a full proposal. But News Challenge grant or not I’m committed to bulding this site as a social online product for community newspapers. Comments highly appreciated.
