ReportingOn creator Ryan Sholin
Ryan Sholin’s ReportingOn, winner of a 2008 Knight News Challenge grant, is live, in beta. Journalists, bloggers and freelance writers – anyone who writes for a living – can go in and register, upload her or his profile, share what she is currently working on and see who else might be pursuing something similar in another locale. So far 250 reporters have done so.
ReportingOn is not about divulging your “hot lead” but rather about seeking helpful insight or scouring other resources for a project about which you tell as much or little as you wish. In fact, you can register and just lurk for awhile. I registered – it was easy and informative. I hope you will too. Oh, and Ryan is looking for feedback to help make ReportingOn as useful to users as possible.
