One of the most prolific and knowledgable industry bloggers, Rafat Ali, in his PaidContent.org (Do sign up for his free e-newsletter) offers an article by Lauren Rich Fine who talks about it, and the stumbling blocks that newspapers must face and resolve to replace lost print ad revenue with online. Cutting production costs, he says, is vital.
